We are a Professional Fine Art Studio and we thank you for your interest, but all wedding photography, music teachers, florists, small businesses (not creative), yoga instructors, construction workers, house painters, recording artists, dance instructors. . .etc. . .I'm sorry but that doesn't fit with what our studio has to offer. Welcome Potential Teachers at Cope Studios!!

We’re currently looking for outgoing and fun instructors for adult fine art classes who already have a solid student following.  We’re encouraging 8-1o week classes, one time, and weekend workshops.

Instructor Commitments:

• Advertise and promotion of your own classes.
• Student follow up for classes from signing them up through the completion of the course
• The instructor is in charge of full communication with your students (we are not an art center; we are a host to your class).
• Providing materials or material lists for your students.
• Professionalism: Timely, personable, respectful of all types of personalities, master of what you teach, self-motivated and tidy (You are representing our studio)

Studio Commitments. We Provide:

• 30 x 36 ft fine art work space
• 18 work stations along the perimeter of the room
• Assisting with forwarding and re-posting on social media within reason.
• Lighting
• Heaters
• Model Stand/ Model paraphernalia
• 8 Academic “H” frame easel
• 15 drawing benches
• Backdrops
• Chairs/ stools
• Slop sinks
• Four downstairs bathrooms
• Locking Student/Teacher storage for an additional monthly fee
• Sound system for music

Percentages:

• The breakdown for the studio fee is 65% Instructor/ 35% Studio Host.
• No matter how many students you end up with, the percentage remains the same so large and small classes are welcomed.
• Any noxious materials or power tools need to be pre-approved by Karen before each class (i.e. mold making).

• Cancellation Period: If there are no students signed up for you class two weeks before the start date, the class will be cancelled, and a non-refundable deposit for the next class will be applied.

Tuesday Uninsturcted Sculpting Class

Cope Studios is offering an uninstructed Sculpting Class

Karen is on sabbatical until January 2016, so we're hosting an uninstructed sculpting session. 

The price is $275 for each three hour session. There are no cancellations, refunds, or make up sessions because we're just covering model costs and the basics. 

You'll have access to the door code, and may store your pieces in the model room. Karen will be available the first session to help set the pose. This is a self governed group so you'll be responsible for yourselves.

Saturday Uninstructed Sculpting

This week marks the last class of the session!!

Since Karen is going on sabbatical, several sculptors have shown interest in continuing an uninstructed 10 week session.

- For the Saturday morning session from 10-1pm, we need four firm sign ups (Paid in advance)
- The same goes for the afternoon session from 2pm-5pm
- For the Tuesday class to run from 6:30-9:30pm, we also need four firm sign ups.

The price is $275 for each three hour session. There are no cancellations, refunds, or make up sessions because we're just covering model costs and the basics.

You'll have access to the door code, and may store your pieces in the model room. Karen will be available the first session to help set the pose. This is a self governed group so you'll be responsible for yourselves.

We'd like some feedback about dates and potential models. We're taking at least a two week break so we have time to book the model. We're thinking of hiring a female model (since the last session was male) and we're open to suggestions.

Calling All Figurative Sculpting Instructors!

Karen is going on sabbatical so we're looking for....

• 2 plus years teaching experience with model
• Personable and responsible
• Solid understanding of armature building
• Portfolio of personal figurative work
• Pictures of student examples/ work
• Critique based class

The pay fluctuates with experience and class size and we encourage inviting your own student list as well. Currently we do not fire finished works on site.
